  • Oversee the hourly staffing and recruitment activities for hourly employees to match job requirement needs with the appropriate skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to employees, supervisors, and management.
  • Manage administration of benefits for all employees including open enrollment, required pre-employment physicals.
  • Responsible for HR activities including collective bargaining agreement administration, legal and Company policy postings as required, administration of plant policies and procedures including attendance, leaves of absence, FMLA, employee personnel files and records.
  • Manage all aspects of weekly payroll.
  • Active participation and coordination of plant-wide Food Safety and Food Quality initiatives and training. Includes participation in employee committees.
  • Demonstrate a highly visible and positive attitude, work ethic and professionalism, provide leadership.
  • Make recommendations in the areas of hiring, discipline, and termination. Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • B.S. in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field. 
  • 3+ years of supervisory or HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment (Union environment a plus). 
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Applications; KRONOS experience is a must.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of the plant, organization, outside vendors, contractors and commuters.
