This is an outstanding EHS Manager opportunity for a growing leader in the Food Industry near the desirable Neenah, WI area. Our client is seeking a mid-senior level leader for environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S) programs, policies and initiatives for 3 local manufacturing facilities. This role will work closely with the EHS Director and serve as a key contributor to EH&S initiatives within other plants in the Division. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 
  • 7+ years’ EHS experience in a large manufacturing facility; Food Industry, packaging, processing plant experience is a plus.
  • BA/BS degree in EHS or related field. 
  • Ability to identify, assess and lead / execute multiple continuous improvement projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of EHS&S practices, and understanding of federal, state and local laws and regulations affecting manufacturing practices and activities.
  • Knowledge of materials used in the manufacturing process and of safe practices for physical management of raw materials/hazardous materials and finished goods.
  • Previous experience with data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Experience influencing for results, building rapport on the plant floor, compliance culture change agent is desired.
  • Up to 30% travel in support of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
     
Responsibilities:
  • Implements/maintains consistent EHS&S management systems and programs.
  • Measures, audits and evaluates the effectiveness of the following areas: Occupational safety; Ergonomics/workstation design; Workplace injury & illness (Worker’s Compensation) claim / medical management; Environmental regulatory compliance; Employee training; Industrial hygiene; Fire prevention / protection; Fleet safety; Facility and asset security. 
  • Establish site strategies, systems and controls to assure company objectives and compliance in the areas of environmental health and safety.
  • Establish and report site key EHS performance metrics to ensure scorecard objectives are met.
  • Acts as liaison between assigned facility and the Corporate EHS&S Department in the execution of corporate EHS&S initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain facility wide EHS programs including proactive incident prevention, business continuity plan, hazardous chemical management and employee training.
  • Helps drive employee engagement to create and foster a proactive, empowered safety culture.
  • Manage incident reporting process including completion of investigations/RCA’s, implementation of corrective actions, and communication to key stakeholders.
