AS/BS in Safety, Environmental or a similar field of study along with three years of occupational health and safety program experience in a manufacturing environment.  Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, GSP, OHST are a plus!  Key to the success in this role is an ability to develop strong relationships and solid working rapport coupled with the ability to collaborate and influence while seeking continuous improvement as the sole EHS professional among 250 employees.
Responsibilities for this position include:
The Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for the on-going ownership of safety and health compliance programs over two locations (Michigan and Arkansas). The position holds a 90% Safety, 10% Environmental responsibility. This individual will promote an incident free work environment by developing programs that routinely train, monitor and measure a safe working environment. Additional responsibilities will include the administration of workers compensation function, safety and environmental related accidents, incidents and near-miss investigations, and EHS training for facilities. Travel twice per year.
