Job Responsibilities: 
  • Candidates with demonstrated leadership skills will coach. guide and mentor a team of environmental professionals
  • Provide support to the Environmental Team in developing, executing, and maintaining site compliance
  • Obtain and maintain necessary environmental permits, plans, and licenses
  • Provide support in maintaining compliance with environmental permits and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports to outside agencies
  • Monitor key compliance metrics and implementing corrective and preventive actions to continually improve performance
  • Serve as a point of contact for environmental and technical support for facility staff
  • Identify and implement required training for operations, maintenance, engineering, and other facility staff
  • Manage hazardous waste streams, including tracking, disposal and reporting.
  • Actively working to identify and implement value-added opportunities for waste minimization and beneficial reuse of the waste streams
Basic Qualifications: 
  • B.S. Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering or physical science discipline.
  • 8+ years of environmental related experience in process industry or manufacturing role as an environmental engineer or leader role
  • Leadership skills, prior supervisory experience and collaborative work-style are preferred
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing stairs, ladders, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling and work in elevated places
  • Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office software (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in managing compliance/permitting for solid waste
